New Designs!

As promised, here are photos of the new designs I've been working on...

My smaller "cluster" design unlit, and...

...lit up with tea lights.
These three candle holders have a textured finish in-between the lines of beach glass.

Another version of my small tea lights with my cluster design...

...small yet they give off a nice warm glow!

Medium-sized candle holders, cluster style on the left and my Koolau design on the right, unlit...

...and lit.

You want more cluster?  Here it is, medium sized...

...and lit up.

These are suitable for outdoor use (they have a clear sealant applied) and can be used with either regular tea light candles or citronella candles too.

These designs are not in the retail outlets as yet, as I am building inventory for the Lanikai Spring Craft Fair on May 4th, but if you'd like to purchase any of these new ones, shoot me an email:  ijan808@gmail.com.

Again, THANK YOU for looking!

Colorful New Candle Designs

Continuing on with my dedication in utilizing re-used candle holders, I've begun using brightly colored ones and adorning them with beach glass and sea shells.

As you can see, they add a nice warm touch of color, and they are available in three sizes.  The colorful ones can be found at a new location, JamsWorld in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and soon to be at their Kaanapali, Maui store!

I will be coming out with a couple of different designs as well, so stay tuned!

Blog is finally UP!

Aloha!

Thank you for taking a look at my artwork and photography!  I am local-born and raised so I have an immense love for Hawaii and her beauty.  My home/studio is in Kaimuki, Hawaii so everything I create is locally made here in Hawaii.

If you love Hawaii, what better way to convey this than through greeting cards to send all over the world?   And with my small home decor items, you can always send/take a little bit of Hawaii home too!  Tea lights are sized to fit nicely into carry-on luggage, a perfect "Omiyage" gift!

But most importantly, you are supporting the local artist industry!

You can find my art at the following locations:

GREETING CARDS

They are standard 5x7 folded card size, created from my original digital photos I've taken from walks around Oahu via its beaches and anytime I see a beautiful scene.  These photos have not been retouched in any way...what you see in the photo is what I saw through my lens.  I believe these photos show the true natural beauty of Hawaii, guaranteed to make anyone smile.

The photos on the cards are printed on high-quality professional photo paper and, yes, they ARE suitable for framing, so one's love for Hawaii's beauty doesn't have to stop with "just" a card!  Frame it and keep reminding yourself of your time here in Hawaii.  A good selling point.

Cards come with envelope in a clear bag and is made of acid-free 80% recycled paper.

Home Decor

Home decor incorporates re-used items purchased at thrift stores and garage sales and decorated with a beach-theme using both natural and man-made materials I personally hand-pick on our shores.  These glass tea light holders come with an individual candle and give off a nice warm glow, a perfect accent for a romantic evening or while soaking in a nice warm tub while relaxing with a glass of wine!

Because the glass holders are "reclaimed" from various sources, each tealight is an original so size, shape and design may be different.  Some are "one-of-a-kind."  I strive to keep the ocean as my major source of inspiration, so most of  my designs have wave or seaweed patterns.

Sand, shells and beach glass have been coated with a sealant but are not 100% waterproof.  Clean with gentle hand-wiping only.  I love using single-use tea light candles as they are simply discarded, creating very little waste in the trash (and landfills!) and there's no melted wax residue to scrape off.
